MARSA has implemented a Business Continuity Management System to ensure the continuity of critical business processes, products, and services in extraordinary circumstances and to restore all business processes to normal operations within the planned timeframes.
For this purpose, within our organization operating in the Vegetable Oils Sector, it is the fundamental responsibility of every relevant MARSA employee to:
- Ensure, as a priority, the health and safety of employees and the protection of our buildings and facilities in the event of disasters and emergencies,
- Centrally coordinate Crisis Management, Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, and Emergency Management activities,
- Ensure the efficient and effective continuity of predefined critical activities at acceptable levels in the event of an incident or significant business disruption,
- Develop business continuity solutions aligned with the organization’s objectives based on the results of Business Impact Analyses for critical products and services, and make the necessary plans to ensure the timely recovery of such critical products/services,
- Ensure the most effective restoration of normal operations following a business disruption,
- Minimize disruption periods for the company, customers, suppliers, shareholders, and other critical stakeholders,
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and Business Continuity requirements,
- Minimize the financial, legal, and reputational impacts of business disruptions on the organization,
- Ensure effective decision-making and accurate internal and external communication flows in the event of a disruption,
- Take the necessary actions to manage risks that may cause disruptions,
- Improve the system through regular training, awareness activities, tests, and exercises,
- Comply with internationally recognized standards and best practices,
- Develop an integrated, consistent, practical, and applicable Business Continuity Management System and continuously improve the effectiveness and quality of business continuity management.
